Amanda Marsalis

Amanda is an Emmy, Golden Globes and Critics Choice Award winner for her work as a CoEP and director on the medical series sensation THE PITT for HBO Max. She received a DGA award nomination for her work on the series. Last year, Amanda worked as an Executive Producer/Director on Apple TV+’s CAPE FEAR starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams. The series is a remake of Martin Scorsese’s 1991 film starring Robert de Niro and Nick Nolte, itself a remake of the 1961 cult classic. Stephen Spielberg, Nick Antosca, Amblin and Martin Scorcese EP’d the series. Prior, Amanda directed and Executive Produced the western series RANSOM CANYON for Netflix starring James Brolin, Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly. Her episodic work includes 3 seasons of OZARK directing 7 episodes including 4 of the final 7, WESTWORLD for HBO, UMBRELLA ACADEMY for Netflix, and INVASION for Apple. She also shot the pilot of NAOMI executive produced by Ava DuVernay for the CW, which was ordered to series. Her feature Echo Park was critically acclaimed and picked up by Ava DuVernay’s company Array for distribution. The film starred Mamie Gummer and had its theatrical release in April 2016. Amanda has travelled a million miles as a working photographer. For fun and to celebrate something a little closer to home, she published a book on Chez Panisse – the legendary farm to table restaurant founded by Alice Waters. All proceeds of Amanda’s book go to Waters’ Edible School Yard Project.
